Don't you just love getting new fabric? I swear I have more fabric than I know what to do with, but I can't resist getting more. Especially when fabric designers release their newest lines! Recently I discovered this darling fabric by Kelly Parker Smith. She is a wonderful fabric designer for Sweet Bee Fabric Co. Be sure to check them out they carry some of the cutest designs around. Recently I made a fabric map from Kelly's newest line called Windsor Garden.
This line is truly adorable and I could think of a million projects to make with it! I decided to make a fabric map, because well I can not get enough of them! I had so much fun cutting each state and deciding which print would go next. My favorite part of making maps is piecing them together!
Once I decide on all 50 states, then I iron them down to the fabric back. Here I choose a pretty white linen from Joanns.
Once they are all iron into place I topstitch the entire map. I like to use a contrasting thread, I use black. It really makes each state pop.
I have partnered up with Kelly & you could win a Windsor garden fat quarter bundle all for yourself! Head on over to my Instagram account to enter!
Happy Sewing!!

What cutting machine do you use to cut the states for your map?
