The little Green Bean

Don't you just love getting new fabric? I swear I have more fabric than I know what to do with, but I can't resist getting more. Especially when fabric designers release their newest lines! Recently I discovered this darling fabric by Kelly Parker Smith. She is a wonderful fabric designer for Sweet Bee Fabric Co. Be sure to check them out they carry some of the cutest designs around. Recently I made a fabric map from Kelly's newest line called Windsor Garden

This line is truly adorable and I could think of a million projects to make with it! I decided to make a fabric map, because well I can not get enough of them! I had so much fun cutting each state and deciding which print would go next. My favorite part of making maps is piecing them together!

Once I decide on all 50 states, then I iron them down to the fabric back. Here I choose a pretty white linen from Joanns.

Once they are all iron into place I topstitch the entire map. I like to use a contrasting thread, I use black. It really makes each state pop.
